How We Work

Therapy is an interactive conversation with a trained clinician about the problems you are going through or the goals you want to achieve. Usually when you go through something, you only see one perspective of that issue, and it is often negative, hopeless and sometimes even miserable. Most clients battle with many of the same challenges we all struggle with everyday issues, including relationships, life changes, anxiety, self-doubt, work-life stress and depression. There is nothing to be ashamed of as most issues you are struggling with are common to all human beings. Seeking professional help means that you are taking charge of your life and the issues that are bothering you or hindering your goals.

A session will include you giving background information about yourself and the issues that are bothering you. The therapist will listen and ask questions for clarity where necessary. Together with you, the therapist will identify problems, map a programme to help you resolve the issues and reach your goals. Therapy is a gradual process; it is not expected that you will master the coping and empowerment tools immediately. One thing for sure, is that the therapist will treat your issues with care and confidentiality. Therapy will allow you to understand yourself better and help you grow from situations you are facing.
